Play On! recap

I just realized that I never mentioned how the last 2 performances went. Overall, everything went well. I had a lot of fun. I met several new friends. It was a good experience!

While we were striking the set the director of the next show, Much Ado about Nothing , approached me about being on the crew for his show. He said that I was at the top of his list for people to contact. He hasn't officially asked me yet, but I'm pretty sure that he is going to. It makes me very happy that I have a good reputation in the group.

He also said that I would have to be in costume for the show, and be on stage. I told him that that was fine by me. I did audition after all!

The Cast party was at the directors house. At the beginning, we were watching the Colts game. They were down 30-7 and everyone was starting to get discouraged. So, we decided to watch the video of the show. Which was made for archive purposes only, of course. We would never do anything unlawful at TCT. ;).

Luckily, we didn't miss the end of the game! We saw the last 1/2 hour or so. What a nail biter!!!

Tomorrow, I am meeting my sister and niece in Columbus so my mom can go back to PA for a while. She had a mammogram a few weeks ago, and of course the results didn't come back until she was already out here visiting us. There is a small spot that they want to check out, so the are going to do an ultrasound. (Any prayers and good wishes are welcome!) So we have to get up early and get an early start in the morning.

I went to the doctor last week as well. I was having some pain in my lower back on the right side. I thought it might be a kidney infection, and I didn't want to be sick for the performances. I found out that it wasn't my kidney, it was my sciatica. I thought that only older people had problems with that! I also asked him about some pain I'd been having in my left shoulder. He says that he thinks that I have a torn rotator cuff. I can't understand how I got something that sounds so sport related! I am certainly not the athletic type!!!

Anyway, He prescribed a predisone pack, and some muscle relaxants. He said to check back in a couple of weeks, and if it isn't any better he wants me to get an MRI. And possibly a cortisone shot. And also physical therapy. Yea. Fun fun fun!

I think that that finally brings me up to date! I'm way behind on my flist, so I'll be trying to catch up with that after we get back from dropping mom off.
