I like to watch Lord of the Rings since it came out around this time. We're aiming for Two Towers and Return of the King tonight. Any series marathon seems appropriate to me.

We have a bunch of Buffy & Angel to watch, but we're at the last two discs of season 6 of Buffy, and I don't really want to be depressed for New Year's, since the end of that season is absolutely lacking in happiness.

Pff, if I'm gonna watch a movie about an apocalypse, I'll go with something about a zombie apocalypse, or perhaps killer robot apocalypse.
