We here at House get asked a lot of questions about the show and instead of ignoring you for another 3 seasons (my suggestion), they’ve assigned me to Clinic duty. I’m the Anonymous Doctor and I’ll be answering your questions.

How long does it take to film an episode of House, from the first read through of the script, to the director calling time.
As if the episode just magically appeared… By the time we have a read thru, about 2 months of work has already gone into an episode. The medicine has been researched and checked out, the Writers have spent weeks chained to their desk. The script is then distributed to the Crew who spend another couple of weeks preparing the various sets/props/wardrobe/etc needed for that particular episode. Once we have the read thru, the actual filming of an episode takes about 9 days, shooting 12-13 hours a day. (It’s long hours, but they give us free candy.) Once the episode finishes shooting, it then goes into Post-Production, where we edit the episode together and add all the fancy bells and whistles. The total process for each episode takes, on average, about 4 months. However, this all takes place concurrently. At any given time, we are writing three or four episodes, prepping one, shooting one, and editing two or three. We work very hard -- feel sorry for us.

Which Model of Nike shoes is House wearing in the first two episodes of season 4?
House is wearing the Nike Vintage Nylon Cortez. It was the first running shoe Nike made in 1977. They are now being reissued.

Why didn't House seem surprised or bothered by Cameron showing up in his room in the middle of the night & how did she get in?
Would you be bothered if Cameron showed up in your room one night? Would you really ask how she got in?

We are really wanting to know where you get the black blazer sport coat that Hugh wears all the time. Looks so great on him, we just can't seem to find one like it in a local store and would like to know which shop to look in online.
Part of the problem you’re having is House wears a multitude of black blazers. However, if you want the look, go to the store, find a black blazer, get it tailored, wear it over a snappy t-shirt (available here), get a cane, and limp to work. A little bit of stubble helps as well. Ladies love the stubble.

In season 3 episode 3,did Cameron really kill Dr. Powell?
Watch it again, slowly. I know you have the DVD by now. (if not, here) I think it’s pretty clear. If after watching, in your heart of hearts, you still believe Cameron didn’t kill the nice Doctor, come back so I can give you a knock on the head with House’s cane.

How long have Wilson and House been friends for?
House and Wilson have been friends since shortly after House started working at Princeton-Plainsboro. Their lockers were next to each other and they had the same lunch period.
