- Year of the Tiger
She was reading the zodiac section in a magazine. It said: “The Tiger gets bored easily.” She raised an eyebrow and let out a “Hm” in agreement. It continued: “The Tiger will give 100% to every endeavor and will never be considered lazy.” She slightly nodded and was about to turn the page when the last sentence caught her eyes. “Tigers will always satisfy their lover sexually,” it stated. She blushed and though: “This is so true!”
- Japanese Katakana
During an SM Town Concert in Japan, she decided to confess to Kyuhyun. She wrote “SUKI” in Katakana on a small piece of paper. When they were in a corner of the prep room together, she slipped it to him. He glanced at it and, to her surprise, tore it in half. She was about to walk away with tears in her eyes when he pulled her close and planted a kiss on her lips. She was confused till he gave her back the halves of the paper, in reverse order.
- Laugh and Cry
Everyone talks about how funny she is and how much she laughs. Donghae always likes it when she cries her heart out and shows her down side to him. Because only he, and himself alone, has the privilege.
- List
He found it lying next to her iPod one day. It read: “Kimchi. SNSD’s Complete. Winter. Black. Mint Chocolate Chip. Number 8. Cho Kyuhyun.” It took him a minute to realize that it was the list of her favorite things.
- Fan Fiction
Some days after New Year, he was staring at Sooyoung having her nose glued to the computer screen when she suddenly looked up. “Yah, Donghae-oppa,” she said, giggling, “Look what a fan wrote about Kyuhyun-oppa and me.” Then she showed him a part in a fan fiction: “He [Kyuhyun] raised a hand towards her face, as if checking if she’s real, andkissed her. The noise of the firecrackers from below the street paled in comparison to SNSD’s cheers.” His blood started to boil as he unconsciously (or not) leaned down to kiss her. When they parted, he said: “There’s no firecrackers or SNSD here, but I think I’m a better kisser than Kyu.”
- Veggie
He never likes vegetable. But since he knows she eats a lot of it (she eats a lot of everything anyway), he figures it wasn’t that bad after all.
- Interview
An interview with Sooyoung revealed her ideal boyfriend has to be a tall built man. Donghae started drinking more milk and work out more after that. Another interview recently showed how crazy she was about Brad Pitt. So now he scoffed whenever he saw Brad Pitt on TV.
- Sharing
Shikshin. That's her. It means the Goddess of Eating. So, of course, she never shares her food. Not. Ever. But is that half of her delicious chocolate chip cookie in Kyuhyun's hand? And is she pouring her heavenly milkshake into two different glasses? With the SAME amount in each? And wasn't it last weekend when she made a scrumptious pizza but ate only two-third of it? Not to mention she went all the way to Super Junior's place to give the maknae of the group one-third of the pizza, saying: "I made too much, I'm full now. You can have this." Then she went home and ate a bowl of ramyun, coupled with a fruit salad right after. Ah, I guess she found something she loves more than food now.
- Honeymoon
Sooyoung woke up in the middle of the night, naked. She shivered when the Tahitian ocean breeze took some of her body heat away. But she remembered her 37oC-warm-“blanket” lying next to her and went straight to snuggle up with her newly-wed husband. She smiled to herself as she noted: Some “sea” is way warmer than others.
- Accidents
He had an accident in 2007. Almost fatal. Four years later, she did, too. Her coccyx was broken. They never seemed to get out of their bad luck, because a crash happened again. They were together this time, so it didn’t matter where they would end up.
- Happily Ever After
Sooyoung never had a boyfriend. Donghae knew this full well. He told her: “No one ever claimed you because you were meant to be only mine, forever.” Of course, her heart melted. So he became her first and last boyfriend, before he officially took her hand in marriage.
- Childlike Habits
She noticed many things about him. Like how he likes to fold his arms across his chest, or how he plays with the sides of his bang, or how he likes to bully his group members. Another thing she observed was how he wrote his name on everything that he considered “his”. His favorite armchair, his backpack, his full length pillow, even the small handwriting on the pen itself that said: “Cho Kyuhyun.” So when he talked to her about how she should not do this or that, she told him he didn’t have his name on her. Seconds later, she was pushed against the wall and she felt his lips on her neck and collarbone. Afterwards, he said the hickeys are his own brand, and that he would replace them time and again if they disappeared.
Author’s Note:
1. When I was writing this, I realized that Donghae is a Tiger, while Kyuhyun is a Dragon. Has anybody seen Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon? ;))
2. To explain this a bit, the Katakana for “SUKI”, which means “to like”, is スキ. When you reverse these two letters, they form “KISU”, which means “kiss”, of course ^^
5. Credit to bamthegreat and her awesome “Nuyir” fic. This was written with no offense to KyuYoung fan at all; because as you can see, I was influenced to love this couple no less than SooHae.
