I think we can safely say that George W. Bush would not be where he is today if he were a black man.

Oh, I don't know, Susie. I mean, affirmative action is so unfair, so he probably would.
Read a study the other day saying that white men with a criminal record are still more likely to get a job than a black man without one.

I probably should have added, "...or wasn't a Bush."

Unfortunately, I think there is probably a lot of truth in the study. It's getting better but we still have a long way to go.

A President Obama would help that cause.
