Author's Notes: I meant to continue this drabble series ages ago, but obviously that didn't happen. :( But look, now I am! & I've decided to call it the Little Date That Could. Haha Start at the beginning: Anxious. Written for dracoharry100's challenge #207 - Search & for hd_fluff's May prompt - butterflies.

"I like you, Draco. A lot. You're smart, sophisticated and bloody gorgeous as hell. We have so much in common and I'd very much like to get to know you better."

Harry's earnest words were echoing through Draco's mind. He was momentarily stunned by his date's boldness, although he supposed he shouldn't be. He was a Gryffindor, after all. There was an amused twinkle in the man's vibrant eyes as they searched Draco's own which caused his stomach to riot like a swarm of butterflies. He reached for his wine and took a fortifying sip.

"I'd like that too, Harry."

Draco had longed for this date. He'd had his sights on Harry for months now; the man had gotten quite fit during his Auror training, and the reason for his split with the Weaselette was no secret. Ever since the final battle, he and Draco had been on friendly terms, meeting up with a group for drinks every now and then.

Last week Draco'd decided enough was enough and asked the man out. Harry had silently searched his face for a minute, then agreed with a blush.

Now Draco was blushing, longing to wipe the smirk off Harry's gorgeous face.

Draco searched his brain wildly for something that would get rid of his date's smug expression, but before he could say anything, Harry spoke.

"I've wanted you for a while, Draco. I just didn't know how to approach you. You're rather intimidating, to be honest."

A smile played at the corners of his mouth, and Draco's eyes were drawn to the full lips. Distracted, he blurted,

"Like father, like son." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he blanched. His father was not one of Harry's favorite people. He was an idiot.

"You're not your father, Draco."

Harry's voice was soft and kind, and Draco knew he'd meant everything he'd said. His heart gave a jolt and he suddenly felt lighter than air. Harry really liked him. Really wanted to date him. He was so happy he could sing, if only Malfoys did such things.

"Thank you, Harry. That means a lot, coming from you."

Harry nodded and said, "I used to think you were exactly like him, when we were young. Now I think you were just searching for a way to please him. But you wisened up in the end. That's what counts."

Draco beamed.
