Yep, I was waiting to hear from you - if ya didn't post soon, I was going to email you.

I'm glad that you're okay. And yeah, driving thro 4 foot a water, not very smart.

Thanks for thinking of me and writing.

Apparently Amtrak doesn't cancel. And I always wondered why it seemed to have such spooky accidents.

Fortunately, here in Farmington (western Maine), it hasn't been too bad, although we've gotten about an inch and a half of rain today. Good afternoon for a drink and a nap, I say. Capn Morgan and Coke, methinks.

Did you really get me started on BOTH Capn Morgan AND LUSH!?
Kudos and joy to you!!!

Rt. 1 N. is still closed in Topsfield. That is were the guy drove off the bridge (he couldn't see it as it was submerged) and died. They just found another car close-by unfortunately, the driver having gone missing for two days.

I guess they did have road blocks set up but they are so tempting to cross when you just want to go home. :(

And on that note, I'm glad you made it home!

Me too! The bus was fine.

The whole train-going-through-RUNNING-water thing freaked me out. I never drive through flooded areas. I've known of two people who drwoned that way. I've only driven through water like twice in many years - once when it was clearly about 4" deep, the other time when I would have had to make a 100 mile detour.

I hope that the other driver is OK. Crazy, crazy weather!
