ABOUT AREA CODE 809

We actually received a call last week from the  809  area code.  The woman said 'Hey, this is Karen. Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I Have something important to tell you.' Then she repeated a phone number beginning with  809 .. 'We didn't respond'.

Then this week, we received the following e-mail:

*head scratch* The Bahamas and the BVI are 2 different things entirely...it used to be the area code for the USVI as well, but was changed in the 90s because they were running out of numbers to use in the Caribbean.

I thought the same thing for I lived in PR when I was little
and the area code was 809
i just think is one particular number
anyway just passing it on
you never know
