Dear lord, has it really been 5 months since I've updated this thing??? This has been an exceptionally long hermity time for me. I've been online, but very much in lurker mode

Oh my goodness, I *love* every one of those pieces (the cats on chair of course is my fave). Such lovely, effective use of color--each has its own mood. I figured you had fallen into Check Please and Yuri after the Raven Cycle stuff...did The Captive Prince just miss you totally?
As for the Cold War AU? ::sits by the email chute, hands poised to catch::
I'm glad work is rewarding, if exhausting. So much different than exhausting and pointless (we've all been there, and nope!). I hope the lighter training goes well, and I'm sorry about the injuries--and illness. I'm with Finn, I like the wbf! Even with having to clean the fireplace and stock in firewood. I keep dreaming about this tiny captain's quarters woodstove I saw in a magazine--surely we could shoehorn something like that into our house somewhere!
Welcome back (I should have led with that)! You've been missed.
I'm so glad you like the artwork! It's been a lot of fun getting back into pastels.
I've only just started dipping my toe into YOI (I'm enjoying the show, but don't see myself getting into the fandom), but Check Please grabbed me by the throat a couple of months back.
Captive Prince?? I do not know this, but it sounds like I need to find out more...
And yes, I am very much looking forward to getting back into the Cold War fic. Letting it sit for a while allowed me to noodle through some worldbuilding and figure out a few things about Jared that hadn't been coming clear before.
The Captive Prince is a fantasy trilogy by C.S. Pascat, and I think she's released some short stories in the verse, as well. There's an active fandom contingent on Tumblr, and I believe she wrote the first novel in installments on her LJ--still there, but the content's been locked or taken down. The protagonists are very pretty, and have inspired a *lot* of fan art, the villains are nasty and properly hateable, and there are many intriguing peripheral and supporting characters about whom there has been much discussion and much fic written, as well as the central characters and their storyline. I'm not sure if the canon is completely closed--there may be more works at some point. But the fandom is still active as far as I know.
