Day 01 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.
You know what's really hard about this prompt? Not filling it completely with depressing stuff, haha. Okay, here goes:
1. I have brown, curly, unmanagbly long hair that I will never cut because when I was in fourth grade I was forced to cut my hair up to my ears. Which, obvoiusly, equals never getting a hair cut every again.
2. My two cats are practically my children. My husband and I even refer to each other as "mommy" and "vati" when we talk to them. ::cough::
3. I weigh 177lbs.
4. I love antiques.
5. I love history.
6. My father was born in Panama and his parents in Norway and Germany. My mom was adopted into the US, so the former is all I can identify with.
7. I wanted to be a nun once. Sometimes, I still do.
8. I think I'm pretty and hideous at the same time.
9. I've said "meow" more times that I've ever said anything else.
10. Green is my favorite color. Mostly just because it's always been my favorite color.
11. I like being naked at home.
12. I have secrets that I can't tell anyone.
13. I love playing video games and hate that I can't play with any of my girl friends because they'd rather put avocados and green tee tree oil in their hair (which, btw, actually works pretty magnificently!).
14. I am super attracted to older men. Patrick Stewart. Mark Harmon. ...
15. I watch the animated version of the Hobbit before I go to bed when I can't sleep. All of my friends laugh at me but I will never stop.
So, it's the middle of the semester and I'm still waiting for the rest of my financial aid to come through. I've already been up the butt of every fa officer I could reach, either over the phone or in person. They've been giving me the run around for weeks and it wasn't until I contacted the head of fa (which, by the by, is extremely difficult) that I finally got something done. He looked it over and within 48 hours the funds were posted to my account and I should be able to see it in my bank account within 14 days.
I have not been a bitch at all to the fa people (except that last lady, I will admit, but she was such a douche) but I have been rather persistant. It still doesn't explain why they didn't just give my account the go ahead, when I had already gotten 3/4ths of it at the beginning of the semseter. The head of the dept said he couldn't explain it, there might be a glitch in the system, but WTF?
I can't wait until I'm done with school and these horrid people who hate their lives.
