I'm not soooo happy with the ep...it was okay, but I felt the whole time like I entered the theater in the middle of a movie. I mean I'm by now used to Morgana's motivation not making a lot of sense, but the new uncle? I was totally confused by this one.
To me this episode felt very choppy - a lot of great scenes, which I like when I watch them seperatly, but the bigger context doesn't really work. At all. I hope they will get better now that they have the basics set up.

Hi! To an extent, I agree with you, actually. This episode was just SO FULL of information and set- ups that I think it got a bit out of hand. They established that a year has passed and Arthur is regent, he and Merlin are still on great termns, the knights are there, feast, Gwen/Arthur, Gwen/Lancelot, Uther/Arthur, the fact that Uther is rocking back and forth in his chambers, etc.
But yeah... I totally get your point. But I think it'll improve, the next episode can focus a lot more on the plot because everything else has basically been established by now. But I squeed a lot, so I did enjoy this episode as well. :]

Thanks for your comment!

The journey through the castle was nice, as we got to see what's happening, the preparations for the feast, that Merlin apparently has issues with the cook (LOL FOREVER, btw) and that Percival and Gwaine are kindergartners. THEY WERE SO CUTE!

I want more of this, every episode, all the time. ♥

And, may I add, Mr. Head played the part of the fallen king BRILLIANTLY. He's so talented, it's not even fair.

IKR??? I only got into this show because I was IMDb-stalking him after Buffy. XD

Although it would be nice if they gave him a bit of background and character development. And maybe sleeves.

Okay now, I was with you when you said Uther should be the blood sacrifice (I wrote a fic over the summer where he gets a noble sword-to-the-chest, because that's the best possible end I can imagine for him. I wub you, Uther! *draws angel wings and hearts on Uther*). However, when you say Percival needs sleeves, I MUST OBJECT, MADAM. Not only does Percy not need sleeves, none of the other boys should have them either. That's only fair!

*dances* ( ... )

Of Gwaine and Percy stealing chickens? Gorgeous shots of gorgeous castles (OMG USERPICLOVE.):]. Alice Troughton deserves a medal, all the episodes she's directed are basically made of win. :)

ASH: I have THE most massive of chrushes on that man! And I absolutely do not care that he's almost 30 years older than me. :]

On the topic of sleeves... OH MY HEAVENS, how did I not think of that?! I think Merlin should just stop mending everybody's armour, so they can run around topless (we know Arthur's prefers to, anyway.)!
You're a freaking genius. XD

Glad you liked! It was a lot of fun to write :)

PS. Friended you back! I've only been on here for a few days (well, actually using it), so still getting used to it all... :)
