What would YOU bring??? - Cruise stuff!

So! Next week I'm going on my FIRST CRUISE EVER! It's my parent's 30th anniversary and they're taking all us kids on the trip. :) I've never done a cruise before, and I'm really excited! I think I'm on the Norwegian Cruise Line and the ship is "The Norwegian Dawn" I think, going to the western Caribbean. Cozumel, Grand Cayman, etc. Excitement

Be sure you at least pick up some Dramamine. You never know how a big ship will affect you until it's too late. :P And DON'T TOUCH THOSE HANDSHAKES IF YOU STOP IN JAMAICA. EEEEVIL! :PPP

I wouldn't say that reading mat'ls would be necessary 'cuz you ought to be soakin' in the sun and havin' fun in the seas!

Make sure you have a couple pairs of footgear that works all around (I forget what they're called - but I called them aquashoes). That way while one is filled with sand/drying from water/lost at sea, you can wear the other pair!

Bring more formal wear if that's what you're into - the dining halls can be fancy schmancy and I never felt right waltzing into those with jeans and a t-shirt. Jacket and pants are a quick easy way to spruce things up and make for a nice dining experience.

For the excursions, unless they specifically say bring your own equipment, I imagine they'd provide. The cost of the excursion includes equipment rental, I think.

Cool cool! I'm actually treating my mom to a cruise for her 70th b-day and also going to be her and my first cruise. No idea on destination yet though. Hope you have a blast there on yers! :)
