I don't know if you read this in my last letter to you, (in your birthday present) but I WANT letters. You have to write whitney and I, maybe even Sarah- yeah, Sarah too. We worry about you, you know, and we all miss you. MISS YOU. Today is the first of Fall, I'm sure you know. And don't forget to celebrate!

ok, so i am in a high-rise apartment building on the northeast side of the city. it is close to my university and is a family neighborhood. the area around valencia is rugged, rather dry, and mountainous. Not being completely fluent in spanish has caused some difficulties. it isn't too bad as long as you can get the basic idea accross. most spaniards don't speak english, but i am able to get what i need like food, but the language barrier is a problem when making spanish friends. yes, all of my classes are taught in spanish. the med. has a bit of a salty smell, although i haven't really thought about it. it isn't really dominating though. the roughness of the sea is variable, but most of the time it is calm with no real swells. one day right before a storm i could notice some swells, but that is to be expected. sailing is very popular and i see some georgeous sail boats on the sea almost every day. i want to go to the nearby islands, although i've never heard of palina. i'll look into it though. traveling just depends on my schedule.
