Fitting In

Sometimes you don't fit in and you've just got to be OK with it.

Yesterday I went to my all day new hire orientation meeting for my new job with the TEA.  The first thing we did was go around the room, introduce ourselves, and then "tell something about yourself that we wouldn't guess just from looking at you".  I was halfway around the room, so I ( Read more... )

It's so funny how when asked a question like that my brain always goes to the most inappropriate answer possible. And once I start fixating on it I can't think of anything else at all to say.

i kind of like to 'flirt with' the inappropriate at those times...; but yes, i too hate not having the perfectly clever answer come to mind upon command.

I find it very hard to believe that no one knew Faulkner. Did they sleep through their high school English classes?

Hey, anything's possible. I once got to make fun of my high school ENGLISH teacher because she didn't know who Jack Kerouac was.
