At my gym they have giant TV's hanging from the ceiling by all the cardio machines. I generally pay no attention to them, and chug along my merry treadmill way. I was in Washington DC this weekend and spent some time sightseeing in our nation's capitol.  I saw the Washington monument, the Lincoln memorial, the Viet Nam War memorial, looked at the white house (which, btw, looks much more majestic on the West Wing) and went to the National Archives.

I got picked to be one of the listening minister coordinators at church. I was looking forward to working with the ministery, but I did not realize how excited I would be about it. I am! I'm surprisingly thrilled.

And, it's always nice to get picked.
