Sophie doesn't seem to understand what is going on. Yesterday Petey was at the bottom of his home for several hours, and she was next to me as I held him last evening, crying. She was all "omg I'm so special and sweet and I loooove you mommy!" last night, her usual adorable self.

Jen, thank god your pet knew exactly what you were dealing with...the little ones will be treated and they will be fine, I have to believe that in times like this.

....I am so sorry Petey is gone....I am so sorry that Miss Sophie misses him...I think we underestimate all that they understand. I know Sophie was closer to him but how is Athie doing?

They will be fine Jen. They just will be...because it was caught and it's treatable. Please let me know how it goes tomorrow.

Oh I am so thankful for Dr. Clubb. What an earth angel, and such peace to know that we are lucky enough to have her in our area, our birds are in the best hands there are.

Please, Sophie, just last the night. I just put her to bed, finally. I can hardly let her out of my sight, for fear she will suddenly grow ill. At her gravest of moments she would be alone... I can't bear the thought.

Your vet sounds wonderful. It's nice to have someone who knows what's up so at least you have that to hold on to at a time like this.
