second day

May 31, 2006 19:11

This was my first afternoon day of work. The main thing I did was data entry type stuff.

My internet connection is finally working, so I'm going to find out all of the cool stuff going on this summer in D.C. Talk to you later!

The Washington Post online is a great resource for things to do in DC (www.washingtonpost.com), especially their guide for summer interns (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/artsandliving/cityguide/features/2006/internsguide/index.html). You might have to sign up w/ them to view that, but it's quick, easy, free, and totally worth out. Also check out the Going Out Gurus online discussions for up-to date things to do on the weekends (it's also on the Washington Post webpage). Also, any of the free weekly papers posted around the city are good to use (i personally like the City Pages), but I'm sure you know about that, any big city has that stuff. These are all just suggestions, hope they help! I'm going back home sometime in June, I'll call you and we'll have fun!

Hey!
Sounds like your having fun! Air conditioning must be soo nice! Its sooo hot here, im looking at is as conditioning for Thailand where it will be even hotter and I will be outside in one of my two pairs of pants working all day. Im so excited! I wrote the senator a letter from Global Night Commute. I didnt get a response but my roommate did, that was pretty exciting! Look for my letter! Also, I found something I want to send you. Can you get packages at your dorm/whats your address?? Miss you!
