My insights are not particularly, um, insightful. In fact, I'm probably dead wrong about these things. But hey, I like making a fool of myself. ( My predictions for Deathly Hallows )
I really like the idea of Petunia performing magic, particularly because I think the Dursleys will be attacked, and that would be a good time for Petunia to become the thing she hates so very much. But I think Rowling said somewhere that Petunia wasn't a witch, a squib, or magical at all. But I'd have to double check that.
Oh, here it is, from the World Book Chat of 2204: "Aunt Petunia is truly a muggle, but there is 'a little bit more to Aunt Petunia than meets the eye.' 'She is not a squib, although that is a very good guess. Oh, I am giving a lot away here. I am being shockingly indiscreet.'"
I think Neville would be a great teacher. He'll be able to empathize with his students, but at the same time, he'll have the discipline and focus to push them to become better. *hugs Neville*
I saw that you're "going dark." I'll be doing the same on Thursday. Hope you have a wonderful time reading the last book!
I can imagine that one of the Weasleys is going to die, but I would find it more interesting if one of the good ones turned out to be on the evil side, which would has his death, instead of shady Percy being evil.
I'm among the people who can't stand the thought of Snape and Lily. I will live with it, though, as long as it won't turn out to be the reason why Snape joined the Death Eaters respectively turned his back on them again.

Oh, that would be interesting. I always choose Charlie for these sorts of things because Charlie ... well, who is Charlie, anyway? ;-D
I actually hope Percy doesn't die. I don't really want any of the Weasleys to die.

Well, there's this really interesting theory that deeble found recently. She was reading John Granger's essay on Snape and Machiavelli's The Prince. Granger cites others who use Machiavelli to argue that Snape is, in fact, on the side of evil. In the comment thread to this essay, someone cited a different source for understanding Snape's actions. Here's the comment

I don't know how obscure the play is, but I haven't heard about it. It's an intriguing thought, though.
As for Snape being on the side of evil, I'm unlike some fans not convinced that this is impossible, although I wouldn't mind seeing him on the good side.
