Was it a good show? Ivory and I looked up at the sky when we got into the car to go to the Y, but we didn't see any. Did you all have fun? I can just imagine you all - though I've never seen you - staring up at the sky together. You're such a good mom!!
Most certainly the things you eat can affect how you feel, especially if you make an abrupt change in your diet. The intervening period of adjustment can really throw you for a loop.
I would be careful to eat plenty of organic stuff, just to reduce your exposure to pesticides and such, esp. if you're going whole hog (sorry) on the veggies.
Eat plenty of protein, too. It will regulate your blood sugar more evenly than just veggies will.
Is he pressuring you to go along with this and you aren't as into it? Maybe that's part of it.
I do hope things get better. Maybe you both need a big hunk of chocolate, a glass of champagne and some time in a hot tub together.
(BTW, I don't think of you as being usually cranky. *hugs*)

Ah, thanks, but that's because you've never met me in person ;-D
No, we're not going whole hog (;-D) ... we're not giving up meat, just trying to eat more veggies and fruits and eat fewer calories in general. He's not pressuring me to do anything - well, except call the Sears repairman for our washer, but that's totally unrelated, isn't it? ;-D I think we're both just a little tired, and he's going through a period at work where he's bored with his current responsibilities and looking for more challenge, and I'm in a complete blah state (unable to finish anything at all!!!!), so I'm just blaming vegetables because they don't seem to mind me abusing them on LJ. ;-D
Thanks for listening to my whining!
Oh, and yes, I think chocolate, champagne, and a hot tub sound perfect. We're going away next weekend ... maybe... ;-D
Too much healthy eating always makes me grumpy. That's why I practice it in moderation. Is the Food Pyramid still in vogue? Whenever you feel particularly cranky, just go on the Inverted Food Pyramid Diet. It works for me every time:
Breakfast: Cocoa Mid-morning snack: One small bowl of anything that contains no fruit or vegetables Lunch: Something fried or at least greasy. Plenty of bread, but you're free to throw in a little protein if needed. Afternoon snack: Something sugary; nuts optional. Dinner: Anything you fancy as long as the emphasis is on cheese, pasta and potatoes. Bedtime snack: Something salty or sugary or both, with a large glass of water to cut down on nighttime acid reflux.
See how simple it is? When in doubt, follow the IFPD and it'll cheer you right up.:-)
Which reminds me, I have one last can of pumpkin to use up before we return to the states. Hmm...perhaps Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars this time. ;-)
Oh, you are cruel with your pictures of cheese! ;-D
I love the inverted food pyramid diet. But don't you think you ought to take it down in case someone else copies it and tries to sell it in a book by Kevin Trudeau? You could be missing out on a whole lot of cash via infomercials! (Are there many infomercials in Britain?)
How's life treating you these days? It's very exciting that you're returning to the states soon! I mentioned the Oregon summer vacation idea to DH ... he sounded quite positive about it!
Oh, yes. Same slicing and dicing, different accents. But do you know what's really freaky? The only American news channel we get with our cable package is (I shudder to type the name) Fox News. Bleh and double bleh. It's better than no election coverage at all, I guess, but in the states I only watched CNN and MSNBC. And I'm a bit worried about Oregon. The area where we're moving to seems to be a hotbed of republicans, even though Oregon voted democratic overall in the last election.

Things aren't so bad overall. I just wish everything were happening a bit faster with my DH's visa. I want to come home! I hope next summer works out. It would be great to meet both of you!
I think its the changing of your habits that is making you and Mr. Rom into crankypants
Actually, we were always crankypants, but now we have an excuse! :-D
As for easing in, Ivory doesn't ease into anything. He dives into whatever he's doing and swims as hard as possible until he finds a little island ... and then he rests there for a long time. Now, that was a very bad analogy taken too far!
As for me, no worries about easing in. I do everything half way, or sometimes even quarter way. :-D
How are you? How is Terminus? Saw the pictures ... looks like you had fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry, I can't comment on the vegetables because I rarely eat any.
