There is hope in the classroom!

Today I gave my honors brit lit presentation, and it was so good.

we went through an excerpt from brave new world, and got people to willingly read for most of it. I ended up reading the last page, but it was okay.
and I gave them some quotes and stuff, and they responded. significantly. we got to do lots of stuff: analyze characters, tell our own ( Read more... )

We did! actually, we were told that the grade was totally irrelevant because we were a learning level above the rubric, and that we really related to our peers well. there was one part where Hall said he didn't understand the connection, but that the class really did and he must've just been missing something.

but yeah. it was amazing. we would've failed had it occurred in any other teacher's room, but mr. hall seemingly adored our presentation. and so did we. and the class did too.
