A friend of mine pointed me toward the Rants and Raves board on Craigslist Bangkok, mostly expats trying to out-expat one another. He cited in particular this one guy who said something like "I'm an expert on Thai women, I'm married to my third Thai wife, and trust me you don't need to speak a word of Thai, it's just not necessary. Just look at me! I'm on my third one so I must be doin' somethin' right!"
