Some guy left his wallet at one of my tables tonight. I didnt even look in it, just gave it to my manager. An hour later my manager hands me a 100$ bill and says this is from the guy who's wallet you found. Apparently there was like, 2 grand cash in there. Being honest gets you 100, being a douche pays your tuition. I should've looked inside.

Hey Sancho- I think it's cool that you didn't look in the wallet. This way there's no guilt AND you get $100! I hope you figure out what you want in life, it's pretty freakin' hard to do. I don't really know whether I'll be an engineer forever... I miss doing artsy things. I miss performing with other musicians. And I really love to cook. Engineering doesn't give me nearly enough creative exercise. Just keep trying different things, do what makes you happy, and you'll figure it out. Did you ever consider teaching horn lessons for money on the side? Or working with a high school marching band to help teach the kids?
