I can see what you mean when you say it feels a little "different"... I can't describe it, though. It doesn't feel separate from the others, just... like a corner's been turned. Sort of. ...I'll be amazed if that was at all coherent. Point being, I'm still greatly enjoying the story.
And the second... god, that hurts. Brilliantly. (I'm also a big fan of Chuck Palahniuk, but I haven't had the chance to get to his newer stuff yet. That shall have to be remedied when I get more time.)
I hope to have time to write a few more Chuck-inspired drablle-ma-bobs, since Sinner is getting close to a closing point. I pray more will come soon. Thanks for the comment. ^_^

The second one is amazing! And I don't mean that in a fangirl way (even though I am one xD) but in a that's-an-example-of-excellent-writing way.
It was captivating, but more so by his thoughts than his actions.
I enjoyed reading it.
