Hi, Tear! I'm mostly looking for people to train with. Or for people who could help others learn how to fight.

Training? I can help, though I must inform you that as a melodist I specialize more in healing and long-range fighting, though I will engage in physical combat if needed.

That kinda sounds like the type of fighting Aerith does. What exactly is a melodist, though?

[seleniahymn]

[Aerith...? She'll have to make a note to find out who this person is, if they have similar fighting styles.] Melodists use hymns to execute their attacks, though they aren't as powerful as fonic artes, which is the magic in my world.

[soracles]

So you... sing to cast your spells?

[the briefest of pauses over here.] Can you still do it? Can I see?

I was able to do them while fighting in the draft, so I assume that I should be able to perform them within the barrier. I wouldn't mind showing you if you'd like.

Definitely! I've never heard of anybody using singing to fight before... I always just sang for fun.

That is what most people do, I admit it's rather uncommon in my world as well.

[it's arguable that Sora's singing could inflict damage anyway. nonetheless!]

What kinda songs do you sing? Can any song work?

It's not just any song, they have to be specific hymns just as some incantations or gestures are used for specific results. The most powerful ones are Yulia's hymns.
