[It's close to noon, when curiosity gets the better of him and Vanitas finally decides to visit his actual 'home'. He... supposed he could call it that, after living there for the past few months. Ventus would probably be happy about that, he thought, just a little bitterly.

His shoes crunch on the thin layer of snow on the ground, and as he approaches, he can already spot the figure sitting outside the house from the road.

What's he doing... trying to make me sick?

A pang of annoyance and distaste made him stop, and just stare for a moment. It was like being split all over again. Here was this shell that looked like him, but wasn't... a pathetic and broken mockery of what he was. Useless.

Fragile. The sympathetic word crept into the fold, and surprisingly, scattered the rest of them. Hnh.

Bending down, Vanitas gathered some snow between his hands, packing it down solid before straightening. Then, he wound his arm back and threw it at the other boy, aiming for somewhere on his upper body.]

[THWAP. the snowball connects with his shoulder, and Sora immediately starts, scrambling to his feet and looking around frantically. not that he can see; he's just facing the general direction the assault came from.]

Hey! Who's there?

[his hand is automatically outstretched to summon a weapon, disadvantage or not. do that again, Vanitas, and there might be a pack of Floods to contend with, too.]

No one important.

[He's watching that hand, but doesn't move to defend himself at all. Instead, he just walks a little closer.]

So your way of getting back at me is by catching a cold, huh?

[soracles]

[in some bizarre way, Sora is glad he can't see Vanitas or himself right now.]

It'd serve you right. [and if his tone, and the way his shoulders hunch and his fists clench weren't enough of an indicator of his mood, the Floods that seem to spring right from the ground by his feet will likely do the trick.]
