12 in 2012 - Messiah

Before going to this "Come and sing Messiah" event, I was racking my brains, trying to figure out the last time I'd done any proper classical choral singing. There was a few months singing madrigals, back when we lived in the house-before-this-one, about um, eight year ago? But that was quite a small group. I think I was in first year in University

How many tenors did you get?

As a complete guess, there were somewhere between 15 and 20 tenors, and a similar number of basses. They all sounded like they knew what they were doing too.

The one time I did a sing-along Messiah there were maybe 150 sopranos, 100 altos, 50 basses and 7 tenors. It's really hard to hold one's line when outnumbered 40 to 1.
