Even if you don't normally like David Cook, if you know the song "Time of my Life", give this a look. He's singing just after he won Idol and before the CD came out. If you don't actually *watch* it, you can well imagine it's someone just singing the song at home. Random Saiyiki
Re-reading the Saiyuki "Burial" arcs, which never fail to affect me. Minekura says so much with nuance and visual.
Also, I swear that Evanessence's "Whisper" was written for Koryuu in the first months after he left the temple.
