Great story. I was in the SCA for a semester when I studied abroad in Australia (Barony of Innilgard) and had a blast. When I tried to get back into it when I got back to the states nobody in our local area group returned my call. Looking forward to reading!

I'm sorry they dropped the ball with you that way. There's a big push nowadays for newcomer retention. I'll probably be posting more about the SCA during Idol, if the topic fits.
