Padre's Memorial

I just got this in my Alumni E-Newsletter:
The holidays were more somber this year with the passing of our friend, the Reverend Raymond Shaheen, but it is important to celebrate his legacy and remember the many good things he did for Susquehanna and for all those he served.

I want to plan on it. That's actually the weekend before my last week of classes, so I'll have tons of assignments due right afterward. If I'm good and can get my ass in gear before hand, I'll be there.

Feel free to drive up to our place on Friday night and we can carpool (that way you can get a rest from driving).

April? Seems like a long time to wait.

I am unsure what my timing is like, but if other people are coming in for it, I'd like to come too. I never interacted with Padre, but I never heard anything but good things, and that's enough for me.

I actually called Chaplain at one point to ask him when the memorial was. He told me that Padre had lots of friends in the DC area, so they didn't want to schedule the memorial at any time that there could still be bad winter weather. As you recall, it can still snow in March sometimes, thus they choose April.
