i was really into both The Offspring and Akira when i was about 12 or so.

i still really love Akira. beautiful animation and violence from 1988.

Akira is now being remade into two live-action films, the first scheduled for a 2009 release. Leonardo DiCaprio is a producer. it takes place in New Manhattan. huh?

the greatest lesson i've learned in life is that it's okay to dislike people and to want to be left alone.

desire to be free from desire is still desire and fighting evil is still fighting and evil. acceptance, understanding, gentleness, and tact.

be grateful that there are no absolutes. it keeps life sour, which causes puckered lips.
