Otherwise, sad, especially with Doumeki trying to look after him and Himawari going all, "You don't have to anymore." The way I'd always imagined it - if this scenario were going to happen - was that Doumeki wouldn't remember either, but he'd feel something was missing, so yeah. It was nice (in a sad, sad, DOUMEKI LET ME HUG YOU way) to see him this way. Although I have to ask (YOU KNOW HOW DENSE I AM), Himawari also paid for this reality, right?
Lastly:
And Doumeki believed that he had paid all that he could, that everything was taken away from him.
OMG This is so, so spot-on. The price, I mean. I can totally see Yuuko doing it.

I added a few more lines to the last part, to explain things a bit further.
I leave it all up to the reader (you), dearest! Although I have to admit this WILL NEVER HAPPEN in my fangirly canon.

This. This. I do not even have words for how amazing this is, but it's gorgeous and it hurts and I do believe I am in awe.
Going straight to my memories. Damn.

No, it doesn't. ;_;
Really nice, Doumeki's struggle is like profound, but he doesn't really show it, people don't notice until it's too much. You really showed him aching.
I find it kinda scary though, cause it really is like Watanuki disappeared. All the things that made him, HIM, are gone now.

I think Doumeki is too proud to actually show his suffering. That can be a good thing and a bad thing, though...

Oh, that's just so sad.
Wonderfully written, but it makes me all ;_;
