Or perhaps it's simply a hangover. We live in a bubble. We revel in depression and decadence.

But the greater extent of our politics is an illusion. We are scripted and thrust upon a stage.

Philosophy is not helping.

also yeah, depression & decadence don't really hold up, past a certain point. part of the reason i'm not such a fan of Ayn Rand- too much romanticization, & not at all sustainable.
