I realized tonight, for no apparent reason that I'm utterly terrified of death. Just really scared, and I keep feeling like it's coming sooner than I think.

humourous part:

read up on kali and die of natural causes in a hospital.

no people poking (read thirteen year old girls) around your insides if you die of natural causes, as there's the option not to have an autopsy.

the part in which i fart information at you:

and apparently followers of the indian goddess kali as part of the shakti (i think) come to the realization that once you accept death you have no fear.

curran said in tutorial once that montaigne said to make death your companion. not your friend, but something present in your life, then it's no longer a fear.

it's a natural process, like tides, like moon cycles.

...also, day of the dead, memento mori--once you really look into cultural interpretations of death, it's REALLY REALLY cool.

but that doesn't really alleviate fear of death...

but it's really the one thing you can't really think your way out of/plan for.

schmeee.

sorry if i can't really relate to this/ my info was utterly useless/ made you even more petrified.
