I've remembered a variety of interesting things like this. Most are things that normal folks would have a hard time believing.

Oh, no, I believe you, it's just.... To lose that much because of his own actions.... It must've been terrible for the guy to even live with himself.

Mm.

His wife had been hiding the fact that she was of poor health at the time, so there was no way to have known that her life was the one to be taken by the magical seed, but... It's a heavy burden to bear.

...Wow, that's...impressive. To have the resolve to give your own life for everyone else's sake... I'd like to say I could do the same in his shoes, but...I'm not so sure I could give away my life so easily.

It isn't hard to suspect that he felt responsible for his wife's death which was caused by planting the first seed, and it weighed heavy on his soul.

I didn't want him to just throw his life away, though, and along with it his passion for the village and its fields. I'm glad that he was above mere suicide as well.

[[that episode was SAD. D:]]

.....It was those "Mushi" things again, right?

It wasn't a single mushi, but rather a seed made of the concentration of yet-to-be-born mushi; as I called it before, "the water of life". There is no medicine more potent than it for treating ailments caused by mushi.

... how much have you lived through, Ginko? How much have you seen? And yet ... yet, you still live and care as you do ...

...It helped to keep moving, and never put down roots somewhere. I may say that "I would have done this in their situation", but honestly, I have never lived in the shoes of someone with their heart deeply rooted in someplace, or with someone, before.

...I can't stop seeing them.

Their faces. Their faces as they followed me.

I am haunted by it every night since.

*looks at Ike, for the first time in several days really making eye contact with someone* Ike.

...I'm fine. How are things with you.

I'm fine. But I don't think you are, despite what you say. Something's bugging you.

I think you should know what it is, should you not?

...

Have you thought longer about where your feelings lie for Priscilla, Ike?
