My assistant and student, Haruhi, disappeared.

She was a hard worker. I'm in trouble without her...-_W;

[Private, hard to hack]

She also taught me what it means to lead your life knowing how it can affect those you care about. I'd never been yelled at before that, by someone I respected. After that, I respected her more. She was so straight- ( Read more... )

Yeah, I noticed she disappeared, too. My gir...Mikuru seemed upset by it, especially since another friend vanished at the same time. Let's hope she's safely home.

I can't say I can do the hours you're looking for, but if you need help with curriculum, well...I do come from a family of scientists. I'll admit, I'm not the best with biology, but I can definitely help out with the physical sciences.

I believe that she is.

Physical sciences, eh? What's your background?

My mother and my grandfather were two of the most renowned scientists of the time, and so I grew up around laboratories and physical experiments. I picked up a good deal from that, and from helping Mom out in experiments. My biggest achievement...well, no. Our biggest achievement was a working time machine.

Actually, nevermind.

Thank you for your interest, but I believe that you may be called elsewhere than this position.

Someone disappeared? Do you know why, or where they went?

...in any case, a job doesn't sound too bad. I don't exactly have any experience--and if I did, I wouldn't even remember it!--but I'm willing to try.

It's unknown in both cases; in the...20 months I've been here, no evidence has come forward to explain the disappearances. I, myself, believe that people are sent back to where they come from.

*he seems like a stable guy* ...I understand how unsettling the circumstances can be. I can show you everything you need to do for the job, though; it wouldn't take much skill besides literacy, basic organizing skills, and a healthy work ethic.

So this happens a lot? Disappearances are common? How do people just not do anything about them?! And...are you telling me that once they're done experimenting on us, they just send us back home?

...yeah, I think I've got those down. I feel like I've got those skills anyway, and I definitely know I can read.

You never know; someone might be doing something about it. *thinking about Ike and whatever he's up to - though he can't put a finger on it, he knows there is definitely some kind of resistance happening within the population, though quietly* For now, no one's been able to stop the disappearances, that can be proven.

What's your name? I'm Ginko, I'm the head of the science department at the school here.

...She disappeared? Does that happen often here?

Every so often... Perhaps two disappearances in 5 weeks, on average, if I had to guess. It can vary quite a bit; there is no perceivable pattern to it, even for someone like me who's been here for so long.
