I realized that I've never done anything special for New Years' celebration, but now I'm curious; what kinds of things do people do, in the worlds we all come from? You can patrol better than anyone even with one eye on the sunrise, I bet. Even so, though, you should ask for the time off. I bet you've racked up enough paid time off to last you a few weeks of vacation by now.

*contemplative pause*

...You don't sleep enough, though. Regularly enough.

I really had no idea how bad it was until I started really paying attention after moving in.

Hey, can't hurt to be too prepared, can it?

Anyway...I showed up in mid-September. Over two years ago now. When did you arrive?

Mm, I remember talking about this before... I showed up one day before you, on the 16th of the month.

...Oh, right. Slipped my mind.

...So then, if everyone who came here before us really is gone now...

That's...a really weird feeling.

I'm glad to hear you'll put it to use.

And thanks for the telescope. To be honest, I've never studied astronomy, but it's always fun to get into a new field of the sciences.

The nice thing about astronomy is how easy it is to enjoy even with just a basic knowledge of the skies. I think it'll be worth a look through the lens at least a few times, when you have a quiet evening and nothing particular to do.

Huh? You're from Japan, too? And wait- just how long have you been here?

My hair hasn't always been this color; at one point, it used to be black.

It's been a little over 2 years and 3 months now.

I'm glad you liked the brownies!

Hmmm... I wonder where would be best to view it. Would the top of Ari apartments be out of the question, you think?

They hit the spot. Do you cook often, Mistral?

People have gone up there before, so I don't see why not!

Ever since I took the job as prep cook, I've been trying out some stuff on my own. Plus, from what I remember, I cooked at home, too~

Sounds like a plan, then. Maybe we can scare up some hot tea to drink and keep warm while we wait. Sun-up has been...just before 8 o'clock, recently, so maybe we'll gather around 7 in the morning?

Hnn... In between playing that electronic game, I assume. *smirk*
