Some people will do anything to escape from the pain of reality, I suppose. Perhaps any of us would want to, if we were confronted with a harsh enough reality.
While her body did age into that of a shriveled old woman at the end of each day, I got close enough to her to note that her heart beat never completely stopped. She went into something of a coma, before coming back to as her normal, young self.
I've learned many, each time the island gives me back more memories. In my work as a traveling mushishi, my life before I came to the island was made entirely of working to help others deal with the effects of 'mushi'.
It's true; the village was situated on a remote almost totally barren island, so it was difficult to get food. The currents in the water around the island made it even more difficult to fish, but the most skilled rowmen knew how to read the currents so they could get off and on the island, which is how I got there.
After Akoya's father's scheme was revealed, I stayed for a month to ensure that things had returned to normal; in that time, the villagers had worked together to begin a project of hollowing out the rock in a cove on one side of the island, giving them a place to fish more easily.
*small smile* Once that 'god' was gone, they knew what to do.
*a contemplative pause* ...It's possible they did, after I left.
More likely would be that they all abandoned the island to find better places to live. Still, Nagi seemed confident that he and the villagers could find a way to fish and make the village healthy again. He had a determined look on his face when I said goodbye. *ramble ramble knows Xanxus could care less probably*
That poor girl. That sounds like a terrible way to live. I suddenly appreciate my parents a lot more.
That's Xanxus, right? I barely remember him, but he's important in the mafia. Hibari-san remembers more about him. You don't know how to get blood stains out of clothes, do you? He's expecting me to.
In the end, it's the way of life that she chose herself, as opposed to before when she had been tricked by her father into contracting the mushi that started it all. There's no point in curing someone who goes back to get infected a second time...
Right, he's the one. He's from your...? Tch. Damn it to hell. *d-did Ginko just...?*
...If the blood's already set, it's probably impossible. If his own spit can get rid of it, then he'll have a way of knowing it's his blood.
...It's hard to say. I don't have any records of other mushishi's findings on the Morning Glory mushi, so I can't say I know the effects of 'living' with it inside your body for a long time. I imagine that the human body can only take so much; I doubt she would become immortal just be recycling the mushi's life like she did.

*shock* [Ginko! Such language!] Yeah, he's Squalo's boss. I'll just have to think of something to tell him about the shirt then.

What you say 'boss', I assume you mean 'mafia'?
