Karla hadn't seen Triela since Rome, so once the quiet murmur of conversation stopped from the other alcove, she tapped on their shared wall. "Up for visitors?" she called.

Leto picked up the phone. Surprise wasn't something that he felt often, but when he saw the name on the display he raised an eyebrow.

"Triela," he answered.

"Leto." Triela's voice was close to the usual dispassionate tone she tended to use with him, but it wasn't qukte there.

Maybe he wouldn't notice.
