raspberries are tricky. at least that's what i keep telling myself since mine never survived longer than a year or two. i only raised courgette so far, never cucumbers. no advice on tha, sorry :) but oh, do you like figs or avocados? they are pretty easy to raise and not that hard to maintain.. since you're planning on giving those raspberries away anyway as i recall.
