Amazing when you wake up to the news of LJs imminent demise. Heh. (I'm wondering if it's, like, a true demise or more like the time all my friends and family stayed up all night to throw a party b/c scientists said that CA was about to fall off into the ocean. Mocking makes all parties better.)

Anyway, just in case, I'm here at insane journal ( Read more... )

I don't think it's a real demise! For example, this link on cnet is a lot more sane than the one everyone's linking to.

I doubt it is, too! But I'm still vastly amused by all the chatter. (Although, I've learned to not tempt my luck...I'd say it's nothing and, WHAM, the internet would undoubtedly dissolve around me. :D)

I've just been around for SO MANY doom and gloom it's the end of LJ moments - I just sit and smile and stay where I am, and eventually the panic dies down. *g*

I'm sitting here amused by it. :D I doubt it's a true demise any more than the others have been. ;-)

Something about SUP laying off LJ staff and, supposedly, wanting to get rid of the big LJ albatross or something. I haven't researched all the details yet, but when I opened up my flist this morning it was everywhere that LJ was about to just disappear into thin air.

I really don't think it's all that big of a deal though, at least not yet.

Well, in the short run I'm sure nothing will change but who knows what will happen in the long run for the non-Russian part of LJ, SUP has pretty much axed everything but the bare necessities in the US.

Eh, who knows. (I'm misanthrope7842 on insanejournal, though, just in case.) I don't think it's a huge deal, though, just slightly worrisome.
