This was awesome. Your Stiles and derek are both so spot on and I love how this was told in a roundabout way (because really, like Stiles's train of thought is linear?), with the slow build. And I love the life-after-high-school angle. Basically, this is going on my faves list. :)

So this is completely random but--this fic was made unbelievably real by the fact I could easily picture everything in context of Chico. As a recent graduate of Chico, and a friend of multiple people who work in the library, I won't be able to be on campus without having a little chuckle--thanks to your fic. In fact, my brain is conjuring ideas Chico related with Derek and Stiles. Derek&Stiles floating down the river. Derek&Stiles driving down Nord. Derek&Stiles in Bidwell mansion--Stiles decides that the Hale house shoudl be redone to look like it. hahah.

Frankly, I wish more people had Stiles in some librarian related position because it'd be perfect for him. Also, the fact Stiles became a wildcat while a werewolf was stalking him made me lol. I loved your characterizations and style. <3
