Random observation from "The State Dinner"
This is kind of a random observation, but it struck me so hard when I noticed it, I had to post.
I was watching (for probably the 100th or so time) "The State Dinner" (Season 1, Episode 7). In the very last scene, there is a very long one-shot of the President talking to the sailor on the one of the doomed Navy ships. It starts as a wide shot including Mandy, Josh, Toby, Jed, Abby, Sam and Leo. It slowly pans in to just Jed at the very end. But toward the beginning, if you look at Mandy and Josh, who are kind of in the corner in the background, Josh puts his arms around Mandy and she grabs onto his arm. They stay this way for as long as we can see them in the shot. It looks very much to me as if they are a couple in this scene. As far as I know, there were never any other hints or mentions of them rekindling their romance, which is why it struck me so much when I saw it. I suppose it could just be him comforting her after a hard day, but it doesn't really look that way. I rewound it several times to marvel at it. Anyone else every notice this?
