Terry eyed him over the edge of her newspaper. She finished chewing her cereal and pursed her lips. "Well. Your father invited me."
"I don't understand," Charlie said. He squinted. "Is that my shirt?"
She looked down, fingering the red fabric softly. "I guess it might be. It was mixed in with his clothes. You should probably be more careful when you do your laundry."
"Um," he said. "I'm afraid I still don't... When you say 'father,' you mean...?"
