Hello, people. I'm new to this community, joined after re-watching the movie for the first time in ages today. I have a couple questions in regards to the movie, and I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me out

it's been awhile since i watched the movie, i don't really remember if there was any mention of names or location.

i think you may be able to find out doofer's name -- in the beginning, when he's looking at all his class pictures, his name is listed below, but i've never paused it and tried to look, so i don't know how legible it may be.

also, i know it was filmed in l.a. and long beach, but where it's really supposed to take place, i'm not sure.

Some people in fandom use "Levy" as Adam's last name, I forget why. As far as location, they never say. I always assume somewhere warm, but it doesn't necessarily have to be as we're given no indication what part of the year it takes place in.

Others have speculated that the name was Howard. I don't remember why. Redina suggested this.

The location was never revealed, but we've speculated here that it was Indiana, because Adina answers the question "Where are you guys from" with "Newburgh" which is where Michael Rosenbaum grew up in Indiana.

They don't say what the names are, but based on their 'girl' names, people guess.
