Please indulge me while I consider a few generalized insights into love. While talking to an acquaintance over the weekend she relayed some insight which had been passed to her:

A man will respect a woman more readily than he will love her.
A woman will love a man more readily than she will respect him.

very insightful! So true, methinks.

Reminded me of 2 books "Why Men Marry Bitches" and "He's Just Not That Into You."

I haven't read all of the Why Men book yet, but the He's Just Not book is funny, and very truthful...it's like the slap in the face that all women need...though it's more like a gentle tap. :)
