Hello all! Thanks for reading my last post and commenting! I hope you all are doing well and I'll try my best to keep up with your own busy lives through LJ and quite possibly phone calls if I have enough free time. :)
So anyway, my new apartment, while not really new, is still pretty awesome. The best part is, of course, the air conditioning. Without it, I think I would have booked the first plane back to Boston. heh. I should let some pictures do the talking though:
This is my dining room -slash- kitchen. It's a nice little kitchen and dining area. Definitely enough for 2.
This is an intermediate shot of my $99 desk from Staples. It was a lot of time and effort and from what I heard, unneccesary. I could've bought a used one for <$30. Yipee
Oh, and did I mention that it was really heavy and tough to put together. That's right, it almost fell on me, too. haha. That was my own stupid fault though. I didn't tighten everything completely. tsk tsk.. And that's what I meant by what goes up must come down. haha. idk if that was actually very fitting but whatever. This is MY Lj.. heh. In any case, the lesson of the day is to ask for help, if needed. :P
Finally, the finished desk. The chair was another 50. Staples were a little over a dollar. 150 - ebay coupon + tax = 130. Not bad, right? Right?... mreh
So that's what I have been up to lately. I think that I will have very little time in the upcoming months because classes seem to be *wicked* hard and I still haven't started doing research yet.. gah. Well, I will do my best to keep posting in this thing. Have a wonderful week everyone!
