hello out there. not sure if anybody reads my blog anymore, but i thought i'd start up again since i want to get in the habit of recording what i've done and little insights that i've come across along the way. i'll do us all a favor by using lj-cut and that way i won't take up too much of your 'Friends' page. i primarily am keeping this journal for my own documentation purposes, but hopefully it may be of service to others as well. thanks and have a great weekend~
thoughts for today:
- i am not meant for the cold weather.. lol. despite having grown up in new england, two years in texas has made me rethink climate
- apparently car coolant should be mixed with soft water prior to filling up the engine. i had no idea...
- i also had no idea that engine coolant shouldn't be mixed. i've googled around but it seems that the general consensus is not to mix engine coolant. but at the same time, engine coolant is engine coolant, and i attribute the pricing differences to marketing things. of course, the different colors of coolant throw me for a tizzy. i guess the best bet is just to get car manufacturer preferred coolant. then again, if your cooling system is not leaking in the first place, there should be no need to refill it...
- gekTV is not very user friendly. the set top box needs to be left on for 'updates', all the while consuming 10W/hr. the video quality is on par with other online video. i think i prefer hulu.com material to it. hm... roku....
- peppermint schnapps is pretty darn good
- spaten lager not as much, but it's okay
- jacob wirth boston, a somewhat nice place to grab food and drinks
