I'm sorry for you and your family and poor Ruffles! He had a good long life but that doesn't really make it any easier. I still miss the dog my family had growing up, and she died over 20 years ago! And my turtle and mice and rats and other random pets... *sniff*

My boyfriend and I adopted a sweet little 2-year-old cat last year and even though I know they live a long time compared to most animals and we probably have a lot of time with her, it still makes me really sad to think she won't always be there.

Damn little fluffy heartbreakers.
