We visited Lizzie tonight and talked with the specialist. They tried to catheter(?... you know I'm distracted when I don't bother looking up a spelling) her tonight without success. The X-rays and ultrasound today revealed she has stones in both kidneys, her bladder, and her tubes linking the two as well as it looks like she's now blocked in her ( Read more... )

She has massive kidney failure, most likely from an infection rather than long-term kidney disease (in which case she'd be put down today).

She's on an antibiotic drip and a fluid drip. We will know over the next day or so if she has a chance to recover.

Lizzie is enjoying her very first hospital stay :(

Expecting a call with blood test results in an hour and we'll go from there.
