I've got the day off so of course it's raining :-/  *bleugh* not happy.  Ah well.  Got to play with my new tent yesterday - had a trial run at putting it up.  Since my entire garden fits on my windowsill, this meant a trip over my dad's.  So bbq steak, a massive toffee pavolva between the two of us & a Wesley Snipes film it was :-D

That's a very cool tent!

I rather fancy a yurt (made here) with rugs and all. Not real camping, I know, but you could live in one of those things! THose guys makes tipis (their spelling; click on first thumbnail in their gallery) too, which look very traditional.

Those are awesome! I spent far too long some time looking at the real teepees & yurts when I was looking round for a tent. *sigh* When I have lots of money, maybe.

The yurts look like they would make fantastic summerhouses :-D

They would! I think some people use them that way. I could maybe afford a tipi, but those yurts are just fantastic.

So you saw some there too?

I was just randomly looking all over the internet for tents; but since I've seen the one I've got a couple of times at festivals & is by far and away the cheapest, I kinda knew I'd end up getting it anyway - & in the 1/2price sale too :-D

The teepees & yurts were on the more hardcore sites - and all so very, very expensive.

The Beautiful Days festival always have a teepee village - you can rent a proper teepee for the weekend. One year I plan doing just that ;-)
